Once you have been offered a space at Soquel PENS by the Membership Coordinator, you will need to complete the registration process to enroll your child. Please find the procedures for the enrollment process below.
If you are interested in enrolling your child, but have not contacted the Membership Coordinator, please join our waitlist and we will contact you with further steps.
Registration - Current school year
To register during the current school year, follow the steps below:
STEP 1: Click the link below, complete the Online Registration Form and press SUBMIT
STEP 3: Pick up the full registration packet at school. Fill out packet CAREFULLY. Instructions will be included to help you navigate all the steps.
STEP 4: Provide a copy of a current, negative TB test result that was taken within four years that does not expire until the end of your enrollment year.
STEP 5: Provide a copy of your child's immunization record or a medical exemption.
STEP 6: Fall or Spring Registration fee of $50 (Please attach to registration packet, cash or check made out to WASCAE with the title, "Fall or Spring REG Fee/Soquel PENS" in the memo line.
STEP 7: Refundable Attendance Deposit Fee of $50 (Please pay via PayPal, cash or check made out to Soquel PENS. Please write your "Child's Name/Class AM or PM" in the memo line and attach it with your registration packet. (Ex. Attendance Deposit/Jane Jones/MWF PM.)
STEP 8: Return fully completed paperwork to our school for review with two attached checks (Adult School Registration Fee & Attendance Deposit). Incomplete forms will be returned for re-submission. You will be handed the Fingerprint Live Scan Form at this time.
STEP 9: You're ready to start school! Once teachers receive word of your fingerprint clearance (which can take 1 to 3 weeks) you will be notified and be able to work in the classroom.
registration - upcoming school year
To hold a spot for the upcoming school year starting in September, follow the steps below:
STEP 1: Click the link below, complete the Online Registration Form and press SUBMIT.
STEP 2: $100 Non-Refundable Enrollment Deposit (Please pay via PayPal, cash or check made out to Soquel PENS. Please write your "Child's Name/Class AM or PM" in the memo line. (Ex. Enrollment Deposit, Jane Jones, MWF PM).
STEP 3: Download the Requirements Contract for the year of your enrollment below and submit the form with your packet
STEP 4: Mail in $100 and contract. You may drop off in person until May 30th, at which point the school closes for summer.
STEP 5: DURING SUMMER - the full registration packet will be mailed to your home. If you do not receive one, you may pick up one at: WASCAE Santa Cruz Center, 319 La Fonda Ave, Santa Cruz, 95062
