Program Days, Ages and Tuition

The Soquel Parent Education Nursery School has both morning and afternoon programs.

The AM programs are age separated and the PM programs have a preferred age separation as follows:

M/W/F: 3 years, 9 months old to 5 years old
T/Th: 2-1/2 years old to 3 years, 9 months old

Children must be 2 -1/2 years old by September 1st or 3 years old by the date of enrollment if enrolling later in the year.

Classes are limited to 14 children for T/TH and 15 for MWF, with a maximum of two visiting siblings per day.

Tuition is $140/month for the T/Th programs and $195/month for the M/W/F programs.

Payment is due on the first of the month. A late fee of $10.00 is charged for accounts more than 10 days past due.

There is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $100.00.

Parent Involvement

Work in your child's class one day each week, arriving early to assist the teacher in classroom setup and staying at the end of the class to clean up and meet with the teacher and other parents for weekly parent education seminar.
Attend one educational night each month. Educational nights are scheduled in the evenings and are for parents only.
Provide a nutritious snack for your child's class approximately once a month.
Take on a support job (help with newsletter, gardening, shopping, be class photographer, etc.)
Participate in all special events and community building activities. Families make a $100 fundraising commitment to the school per year.
Supervise a group of 5-8 children while other parents are having parent education seminar with teacher. Responsibility rotates among members.
Attend 2 yard workdays each school year, a set up day at the beggining of the year and a clean up day at the end of the year.

A Typcial Workday

Arrive at school 15 minutes early to set up.
Sign in and place child's belongings in child's cubby.
Proceed directly to children's restroom and wash your hands as well as your child's.
Check where you will be working in the class that day and check in with teacher.
Play with and help children in your area following your job description for the day. Be flexible to help where needed.
Circle time lead by teacher.
Nutritious snack.
Assist with children's activities inside and outside as needed.
Good-bye circle time.
Clean up.
Parent seminar time with teacher.
